Checking the existing walls
We inspect the render, old paint, loose coatings and visible damage before deciding how to prepare the surface.

Before work starts, we agree practical arrangements for your absence: access to the property, approvals and progress reporting.

We inspect the render, old paint, loose coatings and visible damage before deciding how to prepare the surface.

The cleaning and preparation method depends on the condition of the wall and the coating system selected.

We include the necessary crack and surface repairs in the quotation after inspection. Where a problem calls for more extensive repair, we discuss it before painting.

We agree the colour and a coating suited to the existing surface. Preparation and application follow the manufacturer’s guidance.

We plan protection for windows, doors, sills and adjoining surfaces that could be affected by the work.

We assess work at height, scaffolding requirements and finishing details. The quotation sets out the access and protection included.

Send the location, approximate wall area, building height and preferred timing. Photographs of every elevation help us understand the job.

Send photographs of every elevation, the existing coating and any damaged areas. They help us decide what to check during a visit.

We check the surface, repairs and access before setting out what the work needs to include.

The quotation covers preparation, painting, materials and the agreed protection and access arrangements. Timing also depends on suitable conditions for exterior work.

Before starting, we confirm the work, materials, protection, access and how we will stay in touch. Exterior work also needs suitable conditions.

We prepare the surface, complete the specified repairs and apply the chosen coating in line with the manufacturer’s guidance. We discuss changes before carrying them out.

We inspect the finished coating and the details around openings together, checking that the work set out in the quotation has been completed.
Exterior painting is priced individually. Wall area, surface condition, preparation, repairs, the chosen coating, building height and scaffolding or access all affect the quotation. A single starting rate would not reflect every property.
The quotation uses measured facade surfaces and the agreed treatment of details. Washing, repairs, scaffolding, protection, removal and waste disposal must be expressly covered; they are not automatically part of repainting. An initial estimate is not a firm quotation. Any additional repairs and their price are agreed before proceeding.
The quote states BUILD’s measurement basis: openings up to 3 m² are retained, and only the excess above 3 m² is deducted for larger openings. Reveals and other details are separate unless already included in the item.
That depends on the surface. Flaking coatings, damage or signs of moisture need to be assessed so that the necessary preparation and repairs can be identified first.
Scaffolding and access requirements vary by property. Your individual quotation states what is included.
Repainting renews the coating on an existing facade. Installing a new external wall insulation system is a separate scope of facade work.
Yes. Send the location and photographs. Approximate measurements help, and we establish the quantities for the final quotation before agreeing the work.
