How we work

The work, step by step.

  1. Sending a renovation enquiry
    01

    Enquiry

Start with the property location, the work you have in mind and approximate measurements. We'll take it from there.

  2. Photographing the existing room condition
    02

    Photos

Send photos of the existing space and the parts you want to change. A floor plan helps if you have one.

  3. Site inspection and measurements before work
    03

    Site visit

We inspect the property, including existing surfaces, access and the details that may affect the job.

  4. Calculating quantities for an itemised quote

    Itemised quote

Your quote sets out the work, materials and the basis for the quantities.

  5. Agreeing the scope of work over a plan
    05

    Agreement

Before starting, we settle the work, timing, materials and how we'll stay in touch.

  6. Painting a wall with a roller during construction
    06

    On-site work

We work through the agreed stages and discuss any changes before carrying them out.

    Handover

At the end, we check the completed work and finishing details together.

Quote and preparation

What determines
the price?

  • Condition of existing surfaces
  • Wall and ceiling area and height
  • Scope of protection, preparation and chosen paint

Floor area is not the paintable wall and ceiling area. The quote specifies measured surfaces, preparation, coats and materials, and the agreed protection and furniture handling. Full skim coating and major repairs are agreed separately. An initial estimate is not a firm quotation.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions.

Can paint cover damage caused by damp?

The cause of damp should be identified and addressed first. A fresh coat cannot repair water ingress or a persistently damp substrate.

Does every wall need skim coating before painting?

Preparation depends on the existing surface and desired finish. After inspection, we agree whether local repairs are enough or more extensive preparation is needed.

Do you offer spray painting?

Yes. We choose the application method to suit the space, coating and ability to protect surrounding surfaces.

Can you paint a furnished apartment?

We assess this according to the layout and furniture. Tell us whether the apartment is occupied and what can be moved.
